  2. Can I send blankets as a gift to a shelter?
Yes, you can do this two ways. If you want to sponsor a shipment to a shelter ($25), as a gift to someone, just email me your information, who the gift is for, and which shelter you\'d like to receive blankets. The gift recipient will receive a customized card indicating you have sponsored a shipment on their behalf, it will include the number of blankets to be shipped and will list which shelter will receive them. Another option is our Buy a Blanket - Ship a Box program. Just visit our Help Us Ship Boxes! page where you can choose a blanket which will be shipped to your gift recipient, along with a card indicating that a big box of 25 blankets is also being shipped to a shelter in need!

  3. Do you need more yarn or fleece?
Yes! We always need more materials since we go through quite a bit each month. We supply our local volunteers with free yarn and fleece and bring large quantities to area retirement homes which make blankets for us. So all donations of materials help volunteers, seniors and the pets!

  4. Can you pick up material donations at my home?
Sorry, we cannot. Since we work full time, we are only able to accept materials which are mailed to our headquarters or dropped off at our 24/7 donation bin in Glen Ellyn, IL. We hope this is not too inconvenient, since we do appreciate each and every piece of fleece or skein of yarn we receive. We put it all to good use, for sure!

  6. Do you take (store-bought) bedding donations? Items like sheets, blankets, etc.?
We are unable to take donations of store-bought new or used items, for two reasons. We are extremely limited on storage space, since the NPO operates out of my home. In addition, part of our mission is to create hand-made items to comfort the animal shelter pets. We take pride in creating our blankets and hope that the pets, shelters and adoptive families see the work, and feel the love, we stitch into every creation.

  9. Do you take donations of other items for animal shelters, such as food, litter, etc.?
No, I am sorry but we do not. We are limited on space and find that each shelter has it\'s own requirements on food, litter, etc. We also use all donations to cover shipping costs for blankets, with little left over for other expenses or shipping other items. Please do contact your local shelter directly to see if they would be interested in your items. Thank you for wanting to share and support them!
