I was chatting with Gus Warr the other day and he told me that some remote HMAs have several "dropped off" horses on them these days. I guess people think it is better to let their horses live "free" than to take chance getting sold at auction to someone not nice?

I have a friend in Indiana that has to feed her horses hay cubes, beet pulp & sweet feed, because they haven't been able to find any hay around her town. My husband, Chuck and I, had to drive three hours to Salt Lake City last week. We got six 1-ton alfalfa hay bales to feed until we can put the "herd" on pasture, 10 horses can eat alot of hay.

Please keep up posted.
J~
