Automatic Door Lock Problem

My automatic car locks keep going on and off in my PT and I didn't even have the keypad anywhere near it. Has anyone experienced this before? I can hear them doing it right now as I type this. Strange huh? Maybe my PT is haunted now...I tried pulling the fuse but it looks good. Wish I could keep that fuse out for good until it's fixed, but the same fuse runs many exterior lights too.

Re: Automatic Door Lock Problem

I too went through this. You have a faulty solenoid that is sending misinformation to the locks. Take it to your dealer and they will fix it right away.

Re: Automatic Door Lock Problem

Thanks Rick! I will take it to the dealer. It seems like you have experienced alot with your PT too. I appreciate your info. Do you recall how long it took for the dealer to replace the solenoid and what was the cost?

I hope to see everyone from PSC a little more often in the upcoming months. (Will be at Sea Cruise for sure) I just had my PT painted (same black color) after someone pulled a severe hit and run on my PT one night in a parking lot in June. It's looking pretty sharp again after all the repairs and paint. Woo hoo!

Hope everybody is having a great summer!

Re: Automatic Door Lock Problem

Especially with a black PT, my Most Haunted PT is sure to earn a trophy at this year's Pumpkin Bash!!
Thanks for the smile Pat!!
