Brian Statham spoke with Francis Ponder of the Maldon & Burnham Standard – 14.12.05. This is an edited version.
Heybridge Swifts boss Brian Statham spoke after his decision to release Chris Zoricich and Kris Lee. Statham said when explaining his decision to release the duo :

“I’m always on the look out for new players to strengthen my squad and I felt the time was right to bring in a bit more youth – young players of quality.

Apparently he was held accountable for their 5-1 caining by Staines Town the week before, hence, released. No news on a subsequent club yet but I reckon he may call it a day now.

He's just signed for Wealdstone in the Ryman Premier Division.
