Brunete 2007
Just a message to let people know that a series of events are being planned in the vicinity of Brunete July 7th to 9th 2007. Seve Montero has organised a walk over the battlefield on July 7th and there will be other events organised by the PP dominated Ayuntamente. For an English version of the proposed walk either e mail myself or Seve on brunete07@gmail.com or myself. warren.ofbooks@virgin.net The Spanish version is on the Amigo's website: http://www.brigadasinternacionales.org/ and by next week the official Quijorna avants listing should be on http://www.aytoquijorna.org/ If you would like to come and remember the likes of Frank Owen, Billy Davies (Alun Menai Williams' best friend) and other Welsh Brigaders who died there we can hopefully suggest places to stay and maybe arrange transport or show you how to get there. Someone has even kindly offered a spare flat but it is in the north of Madrid! |
