my dream
Does it mean anything if I have a dream where while I am away at school for the day people are going to my home and killing my family with bows and arrows? And I know that this is happening but i can't figure out who is doing it?

Don’t take the dream as an indication that someone will kill your family with bows and arrows. It is symbolic of something else, something about you and not literally killing your family.
Have you recently been mad at you parents or siblings? This could be the source of your dream. You really don’t want to kill them but unconsciously you want to change them so they will do things more in line with what you want. And what about bows and arrows? Do you have them at home or have you had contact with someone or something that had to do with bows and arrows {like watching an old western where someone is using bows and arrows}.
Also bows and arrows are tools cupid uses. Is there a love interest, some boy you like that has rejected you? Consider all the possibilities that have to do with bows and arrows.
A lesson in how dreams work
Don’t be concerned about someone killing your family. The family in your dream may be symbolic of the ‘family’ that makes up your whole personality. Dreams speak in metaphor and family often represents the whole you. So would a house. A room would represent one part of you.

some truth in that!
Well, the whole bows and arrows meaning cupid/love thing might just be true. Well I do like this boy, but he didn't really reject me, he just transfered out of a class that I had with him. But I haven't really been mad at my family. I just was confused about why people would be killing my family, I dunno. well thanks for the interpretation. It made me think!

The family you are killing may be parts of your own self. It could be a trival thing, some traits you possess or emotions that got out of hand and you sometimes wish you could eliminate those parts of yourself.
The boy transferring could be the symbols meaning instead of rejection. Either way he has moved away from you.
What the dream isn't talking about is a real killing. Dream symbols are most always metaphorical and should not be taken literally.
