It looks as though the Access database that you are trying to execute the report from cannot be opened by MARS. Please try the following: 1. Exit out of MARS and stop the scheduler (if one exists) 2. Type Ctrl-Shift-Esc to bring up the Windows Task Manager 3. Go to the prcesses tab 4. Click on the "image Name" column to sort by name 5. Locate any instances of MSACCESS.EXE or MARS.exe and close them by clicking the "End Process" button 6. Restart MARS and try executing the schedule again. |

This response was spot-on: altough not visible anymore, Msaccess.exe was still running in the process list of Windows. The reason it took so long to finally make it work after that was that i used file-based DSN's in my Access database. Not only did i have to create a system-DSN for Mars, i also had to redefine my Access database links from file-based DSN's to system-based DSN's, something i didn't learn from the description of the DSN Name field in the periodic report case evaluated in the support section of your website. Furthermore, every change in the definition of the system DSN's mandates a rebuild of the Access database links. After that everything works fine and i am impressed with the functionality, versitality and ease of use of Mars.
