question about a particular gourd
Dear California Gourds Forum, I have a gourd that is not like the gourds I have seen and I am confused about it. I will describe it. First, it is half orange and half tanish peachish greenish. Dividing the layers of the two colors is a woody rim with ridges. It is as if one gourd is growing out of another gourd, but it is all in fact one gourd. Is this gourd normal? Also it has many woody wart-like protrusions which make it look like it may be sick or wounded. The part that looks like it is growing out of the other part has three bulbous sections. Imagine a sort of acorn that is made of two parts and orange and greenish on the other part (much larger of course than a real acorn) and that is what the gourd is. What is this gourd, and also how do I measure it? Thank you for your help, Talis Labnoden
