Message:		Hello Caroline, No, I don't think my Clarkes are linked to John Clarke of "Powell, Footit and Clarke" although it's fun that both married Burrels (maybe that needs looking into ;-) I see John Turner's entry for John Clarke (in VA-TP vol 1) has him born around 1786 whereas you have him c.1776? very best Jim
