Update..... as in my post about the problems related to the many issues related to the improper process of the adverse incident in my facility in which a resident died, I have gotten rid of the risk manager.
Now, I need to replace. In the mean time I and Administrator can handle if anything should arise.
Questions:
1) Is your risk manager an RN? or who is your risk manager? I came from a facility where the administrator was the risk manager.
2) I am thinking of making a risk management committee, rather than assigning this to one person in order to increase communication and have several qualified individuals help with the investigation process. Ideas?
I was thinking an LPN, the DON and Administrator on the committe...
3) anyone have a risk management policy or protocal I can review?
Thanks
