I would just ask that all of you please help to remember all of those who have been touched in someway or another with this disaster. My facility has been lucky and spared with much heartache we were only without power for a few hours, but our sister facility is still without power and running low on food and water, staff has been there since Last Sunday without break. please send your thoughts and prayers their way in in the way of many others. We have recieved several evaculees from southern nursing facilities and continue to recieve 10 - 20 calls a day looking for placement of the hundreds of homeless nursing home residents. if any of you have room or know of alternate placement please tell me. My staff and my self have found it difficult if not impossible to find gas available, if there is any the line to get it is hours hours long. Keep MS and LA in your prayers as staffing becomes even more of a chalange! Thanks |
