REPAY!!!

Well folks, it finally happoened. After twenty-one years of bracket racing I was asked to REPAY to re-enter the track after being given the okay to to the store to get gas. Someone told me that's the way it is now. That's fine, everyone needs rules. I had been out the gate once already to throw mud off my tires, why didn't anyone say anything about it then. Or, when I left to go the store, instead of giving me the okay SOMEBODY should have mentioned it then. Hell, why not put a sign up that states this? Long story short, I don't need some blonde scally-wag getting ***** with me about how I have been mis-informed. Anyways, like the track but ditch the scally-wag. Sincerely, Kevin Brader

Speaking on behalf of Angleton Raceway, First and foremost, There are no blonde Scally-wags as you call it working out the track, second, I do not know the racers name that I spoke to, but one racer asked if he would be charged for going to get regular gas for his generator. I got on the radio and spoke to Ricky and he said that was ok. I then talked to the girls at the entrance booth and even waited for the racer to drive up so they would know who i was talking about. They actually stamped both racers with a stamp so they would not have to repay coming back in. As far as your incident Kevin, I assure you that if Ricky would of known about this, he would of rectified the situation. I appologize for your inconvience that you incurred Yesterday, however please refrain from slandering the females that are just doing there job. Thanks

Hey Brian and the Track . We did not know if we could leave to get fuel and just assumed it was ok . I got 5 Gallons and halved it with the Ivens . The track official at the gate stamped our hand for re entry before we left . Next race I will think a bit further ahead in case we run into a delay and bring extra fuel for the Generator as it easily lasts a full race but we were blessed to get to run two but fell short with the safety delay . I could have done without the AC but needed the battery charger . I wrote this reply to say it was Don and Eric Combs I think the track may be talking about .

Dearest Tim, I appreciate your input on the situation, but opinions are like you know what and everybody's got one. As for the track, if that is the way it is,that's fine because I've seen monkey-**** fights at the zoo that were more organized than that! CRAM THE TRACK FELLAS!!!

I've been to Angleton a few times and everytime I have been there I have left the track and returned without having to repay an entry fee.

but I did stop at the gate on my way out and explain my intentions.

Its not Brian its Kevin! I had a problem but Terry found my tech card. It was hot and I should have had been a little nicer!But like I said it was hot and I am sorry if anyone took my anger the wrong way.I have never had to pay to get back in .I was with Kevin when he left but nobody offered a stamp! We even asked the girls if they neeeded something from the store.Do we really need to be on " lock down " from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm ? Well thats my 2 cents, Brian Brader

Yep, HOT, HOT outside at and on the track. Temperature was around 102 around the track and at one point around 4pm the track temp was around 145deg F. Heat kinda made alot of people cranky that would normally not be. All aside, its time to think ahead and get ready for August 9th. Also True 10.5 coming up the following week so it will be exciting to watch.

That was intended for the spectators, remember when you are in a street car the lady( this is her 2nd week to work) up front doesn't know you are racing the car. You see so many people up there, unless you have been working at the track as long as me you won't remember them. We have maybe 1 racer a month that will ask about going to get something. We have at least 8-10 spectators every Friday that ask about leaving and re-entering. We do have a sign that states there is no re-entry by the window you pay at. I know HMP has the same sign.

Well, to be honest, I guess your right! I am in Love. With the Sport, quote what you would like but point was made. I know that Alot of other drivers will agree that we all love the sport, however The employees are there for the racers, whether you have issues with one or many, thats okay, like you said opinions are like ****** everyone has them and that is ok. Kevin I think your a good racer and I will leave it at that because I know nothing more about you. I will defend statements made against any employee at the track or about the track. I appologize for your grief you sustained Saturday.

Apology accepted Tim, and returned for being a little coarse. I just have never been treated that way, and after that being rudely mis-handled by the sc........ lady at the gate. Someone really needs to work on their people skills if they are going to be greeting EVERYONE at the gate. I'm not wanting to pick on anyone. Especially you Tim!

I think highly of all the racers at Angleton, though I do not know many of you personally, I do respect you all. I try to drive through the pits to get acquainted with as many drivers as I can, when I can. If the staging lanes are empty, I can cruise through, if they are full, I have to be up there where you are, jussssst in case the track becomes unforgiving and you guys end up getting hurt, that is when I am needed most and thank God that I have not been needed

, I would rather be bored all year not doing anything rather have one incident. I say lets blame the heat and long day to the frustrations and mistakes we all made. sounded good anyway...hehe
