Re: what happened at SnS last nite?

I won over Stephen Hughes by .002 in 7.00 final.
James Day took the 6.60 class over Carl Smith. Carl broke a starter and couldn't make the call. I need to thank Stephen for the use of that 3400 launch chip that helped me with my traction issue.

Re: what happened at SnS last nite?

Maybe you should get a transbrake. But then there are still some footbreakers winning without them. Wonder how those footbreakers with transbrakes get to run in the MOD class when they are not even suppose to be in the car, used or not?

Re: what happened at SnS last nite?

Ive got a transbrake, and I can reac. pretty good with it, .050-.060.. my button was on the the side of my shifter, not that easy to reach and to let go of. I'm gonna move it on the steering wheel when I get back to racing. I'm also gonna go to a shorter front tire 23"- 24" that should help also. Trial and error...

As far as having a brake, HRP has a list of footbrakers with a brake, and it's easy to detect when you leave with a break. All the racers I know are stright up racers and honest, and don't think they would try anything illegal to gain a advantage in footbrake. any way, I'm keeping my brake, cause I'll probly do more index racing than F.B. next season..

Re: what happened at SnS last nite?

Paul, I forgot all about you using Stephens chip in your car, man he must have been kicking him self after that. Just kidding Stephen, good job it was cool to see even from the side lines LOL.

I had a blast and look forward to seeing everyone next weekend.

Re: what happened at SnS last nite?

Of course I wanted to win, but It didn't hurt my feelings a bit that Paul won. I told him myself right after the race that he deserved it. I've been watching him work on his car all year to make it capable of winning in 7.0, and he has accomplished that. Good job Paul, it's good to see hard work pay off!
