A good idea

Garbage Truck Rule

Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, and pray for the ones
who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

That is such a great idea. If everyone felt that way there would be no war. Thank god the people who fought and died for this great country did not feel this way when other people of this world, who also didn't think this way, decided we needed to think and live as they did. Sorry I wish I had a "Rose colored glasses" attitude, but I don't. That is the thing about good ideas most the time that is all they ever are. I would like to see some data on the successful people vs. the unsuccessful people who think this way. I just don't see the Trumps and Hughes of the world thinking this way.

Well, I guess that would depend on your idea of success. Wealth, power, material possessions, conquering other countries... perhaps, if you seek success in a worldly sense. But true happiness cannot be achieved by any of these "things".

Maybe true success is being happy inside and out, in spite of it all. Money or no money, power or no power, material things or none. No rose colored glasses needed for that, just a positive attitude. The main point was to not go around spouting negativity out to others, to try to be uplifting and positive and encouraging, and not to let the negativity ruin your daily life.

realist, you are right that a lot of good ideas are just ideas but I will tell you why. it is because people have to stand up and take some kind of action to make things happen. "Just ideas" like electricity in homes, motorized vehicles, airplanes and medical science were just ideas until somebody saw the possibilities and believed it could be better than it was and they did something. Otherwise we would all still be sitting around in the dark going nowhere. Then again some like it that way.

Hell that would be $150 oh no ... wait now it is $155... no now it is $160. Oh never mind making the team is good enough for me and cheaper than paying for hired help. Maybe at the current trend fuel will drop in price enough to make a difference by the time we head to Pine Valley. I got a good idea, Suni you take out Bobby in the first round and I'll give you $50. Now that was low, sounds like something a Brader would do. Beats having a dog pee on your tires though.

Well, I did my part, Bobby, I took out Chris in the first round, but you fell well short of doing your job!

And I had Thomas covered in the second round, just needed one more "whomp" to slow down a little more. Broke out by .0055, anyway it was a good race. I'm getting a little better at reaction times, now I need to learn how to drive the finish line. At the rate I'm going, I'll be a pretty decent racer by the time I'm 70 (which isn't too far in the future). LOL

Sounds like a winner to me!!!! I am getting a room in Lufkin, so it might have to be lunch. The prices that Nancy got for rooms is too good to pass up. My trailer doesn't have all the amenities that yours does, so a nice clean room sounded good to me. See ya'll at HRP on the 23rd.

So I decided I wanted to be more like a garbage truck. I skipped showering for a couple days and wore the same clothes over and over, I also hung out by the dumpsters wherever I went, and you know what I noticed. I had no more stress because nobody would even talk to me. I lost my job because of uncleanliness and got kicked out of the house and am now living freely. This whole Garbage Truck thing really hit the spot!

Or were you joking?
