hello and welcome to all Yoga Mosaic visitors old and new
Hi - a message from Estelle Eugene, original founder of Yoga Mosaic. Since I began Yoga Mosaic back in the early 90's - I have been in communication with many Jewish yogis most of whom are from the US and Canada. I started Yoga Mosaic because I was so inspired by my involvement with the Yakar Study Centre which was established in London right at the end of the 70's by Rabbi Mickey Rosen who opened a sister establishment in Jerusalem in the early 90's. From an enlightened Orthodox background, I received nothing but encouragement from Mickey to promote the wonderful benefits of yoga in conjunction with aspects of Judaism and so began to create seminars in London which comprised sessions of yoga taken by Yoga Mosaic members and visiting lecturers. This is one aspect that is harder to attain in the States because of its vast size. But I would urge anyone who is so inspired to create a seminar for your colleagues who may be interested in similar ideas because these meetings are so fruitful and positive. My US colleague Reisha is doing a fantastic job linking people together - I look forward to hearing about a Yoga Mosaic seminar taking place in the US or in Canada. Shalom to all the friends I have made and hope to make in the future. Estelle |
