Welcome to the forum
OK, everyone - let's get started. I, for one, would like to know any garden shops or flower shops with outdoor plants that might be nearby the church? |

Hi, Suzanne: The Forum is such a great idea! As for your search for garden plants, I had some luck one spring by walking north on Lexington from the church, and before long I came upon an outdoor display of plants for sale. |

Hi Leila, Thanks for the info - I don't head north so often. Thank you so much for using the forum. I think it could be such a great resource for CPC members if they would just try it. Best, Suzanne |

It's not very near, I'm afraid, but the best place in the city for plants--indoor and out--is Union Square market. That is where we buy our Easter lilies and Christmas poinsettias. Sturdy plants--and inexpensive. I wish we had someone [other than myself] in charge of flowers, who could make wonderful things happen in the sanctuary for not too much money--either by buying at the Market on Saturdays or at the wholesale flower district on 28th Street. Of course they have plants there, too, but you would need to take our tax exempt certificate to get in to most of the stores. Also lots of them have moved to Hunts Point in the Bronx. |
