I have been trying, for so long, now, to find out where the school house was, that stood in Camelford in 1810 and onwards.
I have an ancestor that went to the school. It was also a bake house, which I believe his mother /grand-mother ran.
I have no idea of its whereabouts, and would like to find out more. Apparently both were under the same roof.
Also if there still any 'Cooks' in the village, whose family originated, from the village back to that date, I would love to hear from them,
My ancestor is Samuel Cook, I think that his mother, might have been Susannah Cook, as he was born illegitimate
