I have read somewhere that `once` in the history of Boscastle it had many brothels there...I am not trying to discredit Boscastle as it stands now...but that kind of history is very interesting...does anyone know where I can get more details? Or have any information themselves? ie: what period of time was this in & how many wre they etc..

Personally I think you will find that it is just some past historical commentator's depiction of bad taste along the lines of Boscastle being a "foul towne and ill-kept".
Ann Knight has lots of information on Boscastle and I expect if you contact the visitor centre in Boscastle they will put you in touch with her.
