I keep having this dream that my husband is cheating on me. He doesn't even try to hide it from me. He'll walk into the room I'm in lay on the bed with this strange girl and kiss her and cuddle her. Then eventually he makes love to her. Why am I haveing this dream. I told him about the first dream but he laughed and told me he only loved me. So why do I keep having these dreams?

hi,
it may be a ref to how you feel about yourself in the relationship,
do you feel inadequate in some area perhaps sexually ?,
he has told you that he loves only you,if this is true,
then the dream is highlighting the insecurities about yourself in the relationship,
this in no way means that its your fault,
as they say,it takes two to tango,
does this make any sense?

I thought about that. If that's the case how do I stop these dreams. I guess you could say that it all started when he left his email open and I went to clean it out cause there were so many emails. I saw a few emails in there that were from girls with the subject of " One night Stand" or " How's this weekend for a meetup". I didn't read the emails cause I didn't want to invade his privacy that much. But when I asked him about it he said that they were from a long time ago, with a guilty look on his face. I didn't know if I should believe him or not. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because he is my husbacd and we do have kids, but now I keep having these dreams.

there are obviously doubts about your relationship,
mainly based on your finding the emails,
creating the anxiety expressed in the dream,
if you remain suspicious, this will only create more anxiety,especially if you can't express it,
if you tackle the issue,the dreams will cease,or change to more positive,
how you do this,only you can decide,
it seems to me what you require is reasurance,
it may be helpful to ask yourself ,what it would take to get it,and go for it,
should you need it,there is always someone here on mds to lend an ear,
