I'm always having dreams of my children running across the street and getting ran over or someone coming through their windows at night and taking them is this just a fear that i have or does it mean that it could come true.

As much as we sometimes wish to believe that dreams predict future events, the facts are they seldom do. dreams compensate what we know, including fears and desires. Your dreams are probably reflecting fears you have had since childhood and are most likely products of childhood fears. If so within time you will stop having such dreams.

If there were experiences beginning in childhood that hold deeper reasons for these dreams, then there may be a need for further examination of the dreams and your life. But from what you have provided from this post I can not discern if that is true or not. Have you had other dreams if this type that seem more traumatic? If so please post them so I can ascertain their relevance. If not then take these dreams as merely childhood fears that have yet to dissipate.
