I was 50 y/o when I had this dream in 2004: I was in a birthing room secured in a brown leather birthing chair. Midwives were checking me and preparing to deliver my baby. I kept telling them that they had the wrong person--that I was not the one who was pregnant. They ignored my protests, and continued explaining what they were doing. One of them told me to lift my hips so they could put a blue pad under me. As I pushed up, I could see my reflection in the mirrored wall in front of me. I was very surprised to see the top of the baby's head! I exclaimed, "Oh, look, he's crowning! He's coming! I can see his little eyes!" I never felt contractions, and was amazed that he was being born with his eyes open! Ellen

hi,
this dream obviously was a reference to something going on around that particular time of your life,
the symbology in this dream reminded me of the birth of buddha,
i am sure you know that one interpretation of the name,is ,the awakened one.
i mention this as the child was born with his eyes open,
this could be a ref to the birth or more likely the coming into conscious awareness of the spiritual aspect of self,
on a more mundane level,the dream may have been reflecting a new project or phase in your life at the time,
perhaps your feelings of doubt about being pregnant in the dream,mirrored your own feelings regarding whatever project/phase you were confronted with at the time,
if you look back now to that particular time in your life and compare with the now,what has taken place that would reflect itself in the dream,
