The other night I had a dream where I heard my mother
screaming very loud and I was so startled I woke up. She passed away in 2005. I have been having problems lately with my back because I have 3 herniated disks and spinal stenosis..with the weather being so hot it is unbearable...but why do I have a dream of my mother screaming like crazy?

Could very well be addressing similarities between you and your mother. Her scream may be your own scream {pain from backache}. Did she have health problems that caused her great discomfort, similar to your own?

Thanks Gerard for the reply. Yes, my mother had osteoarthritis but not till she was in her late 70's. I found out I had spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease when I was 46 years old. One of my friends said the same thing you did. He said your mother screaming is because of pain you have. I believe now that what you said is right on the money and thanks again!
