For such a short dream there can be many possibilities to its interpretations. But one that comes to my mind is having to constantly overcome past experiences shared by both you and your partner. Have there been difficulties with the relationship that requires 'starting' over again and trying to overcome the past? Do you feel you are having to constantly resurrect the relationship to keep it going?

Perhaps the dead snakes have to do with each other's past relationships. Is that a topic of discussion between you and your partner? Having to step over dead snakes {snakes often symbolize resurrection} so to resurrect your present relationship may have something to do with the dream.

Well dreams link to reality. I translate dream symbols into words and then try to interpret them that way. Snakes to me represent traps, problems, jealousies and other negative emotions. So I would agree with the previous writer that the dream is about you having to avoid and deal with past relationship issues. or just perhaps problems in general

what gerard had to say about past issues,may ring true,i did wonder if the little brown snakes were an allusion to excrement ,maybe a ref to (unpleasant) issues that you tend to skirt around instead of clearing them up,
