I was on a old war ship and I was blind, everthing was pitch dark. Somebody was leading me around by my hand and the next minute it felt like a jerk and when I opened my eyes I could see and this butchers knife came down in front of me and I then woke up with a jolt at this time. I was very upset and a bit scared after the dream.

As for your dream. Perhaps it is saying you are blind to something or someone who is or was 'leading you around'. Most likely it involves an old experience which caused you emotional conflict {I was on a old war ship}. Unconsciously you are of its emotional toll but if you think about it consciously there is a danger of it inflicting more emotional wounds {when I opened my eyes I could see and this butchers knife came down in front of me}. This may indicate a desire not to give thought to this past experiences because of the emotional wounds it inflicts on you.

Are there past experiences that have come up again? It would most likely caused emotional distress in your life back then and continues to do so when it is thought about.
