What happens during REM cycle

This is an in-depth article I wrote, did A LOT of research on, it has some very interesting dream facts and gives you a guide to what is going on in your brain while you are entering the REM cycle. http://hubpages.com/hub/Lucid-Dreams-Whats-going-on-and-how

Re: What happens during REM cycle

Lauren,
A wonderful article. Understanding the processes of sleep and then comparing that to the psychology of dreams is essential for anyone who wants to explore the deeper psyche {such as myself}. And at the age of 18, exploring and writing about such 'deep' issues of the psyche, I sense a great path in front of you. The inclusion of Jung in your article suggests an even greater understanding of the psyche. There is no one I know of who provides greater insights to the deep unconscious as does Jung. All evidence that I have seen, including the chemical makeup of the brain, verifies Jung's hypothesis of the psyche.

Did you by chance happen to see the PBS program {last Tuesday}? I have a post and link to the PBS page What Are Dreams. The program covers some of what you have in your article. And what it presents fits perfectly with what Jung proposed in your dream research even though the program deals primarily with the mechanics of sleep and dreams and not the psychology.
