'Man and His Symbols' is really deep stuff. But because you have read and do understand the important message from Campbell you will undoubtedly have little trouble with it. Like you it took a lot for me to finally understand the depths of the psyche for which Campbell and Jung takes us. But perhaps because we do have this affection for all things 'nature' what they have to offer fits 'naturally'. Their message is of the soul and anyone who dares to venture into the world of the deep psyche will come away enlightened. But you know this already or you would not be living that harmonious life you and your wife share. That is one of the great benefits of going 'inward'. You are 'living' proof of that as well as a great example.
