Uncontrolled Anger

I'm in one of my classes and all of a sudden I become angry. Nothing happened to make me feel this way, I'm just angry. I try to calm down and ignore the feeling, but I become angrier. I leave the class get into my car and start driving ridiculously fast. I keep going faster and faster until I see I'm no longer on pavement but on the ocean and I'm driving backwards. I feel scared because I don't have any control over the car. The car finally stops and I'm just sitting in it ontop of water looking through my rear-view mirror.

Re: Uncontrolled Anger

Shannon,
Such anger that you can not see any reason for would most likely be addressing unconscious anger from early life emotional experiences. You may be repressing this anger {ignoring the feelings}. By doing so you will only become more angry since they are unresolved emotional issues looking for resolution. Going backwards would represent 'looking back' to the actual experiences that cause this anger, as well as not being able to go forward in your life due to the emotional baggage. The car is you, your emotional self. You need to look back and see what it is from your past that is causing this anger. My 'guess' is you know what it is but are not wanting to address the issues because of the emotional pain associated with it.
