The old fat dog should have won the race

I am watching a race of dogs--different breeds and ages. There is an oval shaped white track that is on a slant--first goes downhill then uphill. I am sitting with some others by the uphill slant. They are putting dog food at the end of the track and then let the dogs go. One older, heavy beagle dog is getting ahead of the younger dogs---I am happy to see this, it is unexpected and exciting. Then, an old man, dressed in gray work pants and gray shirt, is standing in the middle of the track near us. I am not sure what he is doing, maybe putting down more dog food or sweeping up some dropped food, but he blocks the older dog so he loses some speed as he has to go around the man and another younger dog wins the race, the older dog comes in 2nd or 3rd. I am very upset---this is unfair and I go up to the line of judges that are sitting in chairs along the top of the track and I complain about the unfairness----that no one should be standing on the track, that the older dog was well ahead and would certainly have won if the man hadn't been in the way. I pled my case for the older dog. Later I am thinking about this and thinking about old eyes, that the older dog couldn't see far enough ahead to avoid the man.

Re: The old fat dog should have won the race

Pat,
Has there been a recent waking experience where someone or something got in the way of you making a desired achievement or goal? In the dream there is a advancement by an experienced person but something older got in the way of final achievement. Something you thought as unfair occurred {life is unfair} that prevented the desired results you sought and or expected. Something has gotten in your way for a planned result.

But the real problem may be an inability to see ahead. Letting this one incident keep you from progressing is not 'forward looking or thinking'. Such advanced thinking will help you avoid future encounters of this kind. Experience is wisdom and experience not utilized is lost wisdom.

Re: The old fat dog should have won the race

There were two thoughts that resonated with me. "The inability to see ahead"---this is what can keep me from progressing forward. "Experience is wisdom"----I know this to be true but sometimes i want the wisdom before trying something new. Thank you for your thoughts.
