Growing a toe

Good morning. Night before last I had a dream that I grew a sixth toe between my big toe and the next one. In my dream I some how was able to remove it. Last night I dreamt the toe grew back and I remember wondering how I would be able to wear my shoes now with this new toe. I appreciate any insight you may offer...I don't often remember my dreams but when I do, it is because I have had the same dream multiple times. Thank you very much for your time and comments.

Re: Growing a toe

Roxanne,
Growing an additional toe and then removing it may suggest there is something that has become an extension of yourself or in your life and you were able to remove. But this 'thing' keeps coming back. Worrying about wearing your shoes with the additional toe may suggest this 'thing' is restricting your life in some way. Look at your waking life and determine what it might be that fits. Look at your current waking life and because you are at that mid-life stage you should also look to any deeper experiences that fit. With the latter it may be a 'tendency' to repeat some action or a repetitive attitude. Relationships may be one area to examine.

Re: Growing a toe

Thank you Jerry...I am starting a new job in March and leaving a very good job due to an unworkable relationship with a co-worker, one that has caused me a great deal of stress for the last 4 months. I am a little concerned that the same thing may happen in the new job...I do know that concern is just in my heart...my head knows the difference! Well I think my head knows the difference
Thank you again for your insight.

Re: Growing a toe

Roxanne,
Thanks for the follow up response. We all learn from every dream and a response to an interpretation can tell us a lot about the dream and interpretation as well as shine light on other possibilities to the dream message.

What you feel in your heart is what you truly feel despite what you think in the head. The concern about a repeat experience in your new job could very well be the 'things that returns'. The extension could be the conflict with the co-worker, the fear that experience will happen again. You have a restricted sense of comfort in your new job.

This application would address the recent emotional conflict in your life. But there will also be a 'deeper', second application of the dream. This usually addresses the foundations for emotional behavior in life. Because you are at that mid-life stage it is normal and natural for the unconscious psyche, if not the conscious, to 'reflect' on one's life. Those foundations that make up who you are in the present are often the focus of our dreams. You deeper meaning may have to do with why you feel the way you do about the experiences, why you feel with the heart yet still think with your head {that philosophy fits with how I look at life-think psychologically, live spiritually, from the heart/soul}. Or it may have to do with the reason for the conflict with the experience from your old job. Personality begins to form from very early life and the reasons who you are can usually be traced to those formative years. These experiences and influences contribute mightily to your personality. Often there are unconscious influences.

But overall the dream is probably most focused on the recent experience with changing jobs. Apprehension about repeat experiences although unlikely is still a concern. Such fears will be the stuff you will find in your dreams.
