Re: The Magic Key

LW,
I'll try to provide an analysis later today. I am currently involved with a project to save animals at the local county shelters and that has consumed my attention the past several days.

Re: The Magic Key

LW,
Let me give this dream more thought. My intuitive mind is not available at the moment, having spent so much mental energy involved with the animal issues. But a good cause, saving animals.

My thoughts are the dream has to do with 'metaphysical' aspects, probably creative. What associations do you have with Japanese? You possess something powerful but there are barriers than need to come down. Something has 'minimized' these metaphysical aspects. You need to bring these strong inner forces out.

Definitely strong Eastern influences involved. You possess the 'key' to access greater inner qualities. A need for discipline.

I'll give the dream a better look tomorrow. It may be Sunday morning. A full day tomorrow devoted to 'social requirements'. The dream does seem to be important. I want to get it right.

Re: The Magic Key

LW,
Had time to look over your dream this morning. I do believe it has to do with creative aspects, possibly spiritual also {creativity being a spiritual aspect}. Let me break the symbols down and see if something connects in your mind. I get an impression but the exact flow doesn't come to me. See if you can recognize the pattern. Your associations to 'Japanese' may be useful but overall it may just be a personal association {the women being the prime symbol}.

Are you having problems or doubts about accessing your creative talents/skills?

Japanese garden-attending to create needs
artistic displays- artistic skills
Japanese people-many creative aspects
two feminine aspects saying something mean-conflict
bending down-to lower expectations
magic words-unconscious forces greater than ego
torn/wrinkled-in poor condition
pocket-hiding talents

rope-connecting abilities despite conflicts
wall-barriers
magic word-overcoming ego by expressing yourself

outdoors-outer creative self
expression is the key
red tape-passionate measure
around neck-connecting unconscious to conscious
husband's phone-animus/masculine communication
picnic table-social environment
forgotten-not realized
key-unlocking expressing yourself
Buddha monk man-higher disciplined self
magic key on red ribbon-unconscious forces compassionate aspects
keep and wear the key-possessing the ability to express yourself
key will let you know- knowing you have the creative abilities will come naturally

Re: The Magic Key

LW,
My routine abruptly changed this morning so I am able to give time to my dream work. I have been so wrapped up in the animal issues in the county I live I haven't given the time I need to in working with dreams. Altering my frame of mind from one to another thing can blur my intuitive senses and that isn't the way I wish to be when analyzing dreams.

Looking again at what I provided this morning I sense you are involved in expressing {or questioning} your own creative skills {which are multiply} or someone or something else has become a barrier in expressing these creative aspects {walls/barriers}. Consciously you know you possess skills but the social environment may not be conducive to expressing your abilities. It is the inner Self that points you in the right direction, to be disciplined and to hold onto your desire to be that creative Self {creativity/spirituality being the path to wholeness}. I dare say you are a spiritual person with knowledge of Eastern concepts {an important aspect of Jungian psyche} and having creative skills/talents you need to express. If not already possessing these creative skills then seeking what they might be.

Re: The Magic Key

Thank you very much Jerry. You are spot on. It is a powerful dream. I remembered it when I awoke and it stayed with me for days. I am quite encouraged. I clearly have work to do.

Regarding Japan: My daughter at the age of 16 went to Japan as a year-long exchange student - her "quest." During her stay the tsunami and nuclear reactor accident occurred. I was able to guide her from a place of wisdom, at her request. She ended up staying (she was safely far away), but she posted my response to her question if she should come home on Facebook. It was in the vein of: "My mom said this, it is true, so all my friends should stay." Some did. It was a magical time.

I belonged to a Jungian dream group for a long time, in another town, and I benefited from it for years. I very much appreciate your time and insight. So occassionally you shall be hearing from me. It is good to have a sounding board.
