Not really enough to give an analysis. But from the top of my head it may be you are having difficulty working through certain aspects in your life {rowing through a dock/canal}. It could involve emotions or instinctive impulses that at some time in your past gave rise to guilt feelings. This application of the symbols would address a particular emotional conflict or complex you have. The orange life boat may suggest 'life' forming emotional influences that are behind the reason for these difficulties {everyone has a reason due to emotional experiences/influences to who and what they become in life}.
