Werewolves and relationships

So, I have this recurring dream where my boyfriend and I are just talking in a forest at night. It's all innocent and romantic and then some bullies come along accompanied by hunters(they don't match up with anyone in real life). I get really pissed off while my boyfriend is confused but ready to spring into action if necessary. I tell him not to worry as I got this and to leave, and I turn. So I start snarling and growling at the mini mob and by the end of the brawl I've enjoyed mauling them to death. I turn around to see him all in a state of shock and I just turn back to normal and whisper as I'm mortified that he saw all that and about to cry that I'm sorry and then I wake up before finding out how he truly reacts. Recently I've seen a bit more where his whole face softens and he comes towards me as though everything's okay, but I get to ashamed and run away and the dream ends there. Otherwise, I have no clue as to what happens next and what this all means.

Re: Werewolves and relationships

A. Newbie,
Has there been a recent experience involving your bf where you displayed a side of your personality he had not seen before? You are in a growing relationship {forest} and may be concerned this part of you will get in the way of that. You probably felt guilt later on, fearing possible negative reactions on his part.

In a deeper sense {all dreams have at least two meanings/applications} you may possess a side of you that has anger and can cause you to erupt. This anger would be from earlier life experiences/influences. You probably feel a need to be in control because of these experiences, having surrendered your emotions to trusted people only to be hurt or let down. If you look at your childhood you may see experiences that fit, experiences strong enough to form an attitude within your psyche.
