Some 22 years ago I happened to turn my TV set to the local PBS station and saw this first video {series of 6 one hour videos} of The Power of Myth. It changed my life and I knew something had changed after watching this first video. It has a powerful message for those who 'get it'.

The 6 videos are available for watching on Youtube. The Joseph Campbell Foundation will eventually make Youtube remove them but as long as they are available I suggest you watch them.

Campbell articulates Jungian psyche as well as anyone. Using mythological motifs and stories he provides insights to how myth and dream share the same 'archetypal' images, themes and patterns {emotional behavior}. To properly understand dreams one must have a knowledge of mythology, the metaphorical/symbolic poetry played out as literal prose. Don't miss this chance to see these magnificent videos.
