Re: Tattooist sex? PLEASE HELP

Tori,
That would be the 'impression' he left on you. If you were attracted to him it would include that as a 'masculine' aspect. There are layers of meanings in dreams and recent 'emotional' experiences that had 'energies' are one of them. If you were attracted to him that would be one of the meanings/applications of the tattoo/tattooist image. The kiss and butterfly images would suggest 'metaphysical' aspects which could include romantic feelings if you were attracted to him. The left arm would suggest there is something lacking in your life at this time {dreams reflect emotional energies at the time you have the dream} and that could go to the dissatisfaction with your current relationship. You had sex in the dream which again could point to physical attraction but also could point to a need/desire to find something that would bring about/unit a good relationship. This would address one layer/level of what the dream message is focused.

But again there would also be other aspects related to emotional energies you need to bring about fulfillment in your life. There are always at least two meanings/applications of the images/actions in dreams. One would point to the current emotional energies I described above. Another would go to the source of your personality and attitudes. Why are you the person you are and why do you feel the way you do about life, relationships, etc. We all have preset preferences in adulthood and those are influenced by early life experiences and environment. Why is it you are attracted to certain type men? Why do some people constantly get involved with relationships that are doomed to fail? More often than not there are underlying unconscious energies that influence these decisions/actions. If you go back to your childhood and look for an experience{s} where you may have been called baby {by your father perhaps} then you may see associations to those foundational experiences in the dream. What early life experiences left a strong emotional impression on you? The dream would be addressing those issues also. I say this from experience working with dreams {using Jungian concepts} and it always fits. Often in the two or meanings in a dream there is one that possesses a greater energy. Yours would likely be the recent experience with the DJ and the troubled relationship you are in. The foundational aspects would be secondary but would still be an issue that needs your attention because it does have emotional energies that could affect you sometime in your life.

One last comment about the layers/levels of dreams. The reason I need the age of the dreamer is because younger people's dreams more often are focused on recent experiences. If there are severe emotional issues then the foundational aspects may be the primary focus. With older people dreams would more likely address the foundational and overall emotional experiences in their life and the current/recent experiences having been influenced by their early life experiences. A younger person is in the process of accumulating emotional baggage whereas an older person has already done that. It is the 'emotional baggage/energies' dreams are trying to communicate to the dreamer in an attempt to help them resolve the issues. Jung states we are meant to be emotionally 'whole' and anything that prevents that will be the subject of our dreams. The intent is to bring about wholeness and happiness to the dreamer's life.Dreams are nature's tool to help resolve emotional issues/conflicts. Just as the body has the immune system {provided by nature} the psych{ology} had the dream}.
