It takes time, and mental effort, to properly analyze a dream. My method {with most dreams} is to amplify the images and actions in a dream and provide my interpretation to the dreamer. This involves both practical analysis as well as an intuitive examination. I primarily look for patterns, continuous patterns of actions as well as patterns of emotional energies. From this a flow emerges that illustrates the emotional energies that define the dreamer's psyche.
In short I am working on your dream but it is taking time to do it right. I'll try to finish it today but it may take longer.

I have finished the first paragraph {with possible revisions} and below is the amplification. From what I see thus far there seems to be an authority figure or/and a psyche state of mind and its power over you the dream is trying to communicate. The first could be the result for the second {a good likelihood}. This 'authority' also seems to involve more than just you, other females. A possibility are other women in your family {mother/sisters}. This person, or psyche condition, is both protector and but threatening.

Repression of certain emotions/emotional experiences also seem to a part of the dream. Not necessarily an unconscious repression but a conscious one {so not to allow the energies to control or hinder you}. There also seems to be a realization of your state of being/mind and a willingness with reluctance to go along with what is given you in life. I sense on one hand a very positive outlook but deeper down barriers to this positive self. Hopefully my amplification will provide insights you will recognize about you and your emotional life {dreams are about our emotions and the emotional energies that influence if not control our conscious lives}.

Here is the amplification of the images and actions from your dream. Is till need to sort through it all. Here are a couple of patterns I notice.
1. Emotional conflict 'within' family {and yourself} with a man {father is best possibility} who has a controlling nature who issues punishment but also rewards {when it fits his nature}.

2. Issues related to your ex that have associations to your father. You seem to still have feelings for your ex but the relationship with your father als seems to be a governing factor.

3. Institutionalized. Are you currently or have you recently had psychological concounciling? This word {title} is recurring and seems to point to actual experiences. If not having had it may be an good possibility it is needed.
