pastry and stuff

I was at a friends house sitting on her front patio, on a white wooden deck chair, i was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and light grey shorts. my friend apparantly was a caterer/baker and had left me to manage the place for her while she had stepped out for a bit. This woman came up to the patio she was dressed in pale yellow clothes, t-shirt and shorts and she was beautiful and there was soft light all around her. Like all around her was glowing, like a spirit guide. She was asking me for some items she wanted to purchase and was giving a message for my friend about something she had that my friend wanted. She told me three times and i could not remember all of it, the third item was very specific and detailed, on the third time she told me to write it down and i agreed. She was light hearted and joyful the whole time. I was standing while i was writing it down, the third item she ordered that i could not remember was a pastry filled with butter cream and drizzled with chocolate and lightly sprinkled with sugar powder.

the item she had for my friend was a fish tank with specialised lighting and fixtures(filters) that she had wanted. I gave her the pastry, she started eating the 3rd item, the one with chocolate and sugar powder. She was eating with relish, she waved goodbye, she was smiling and happy and she drove off.

Re: pastry and stuff

Janine,
The friends' house is probably an aspect of your own psyche, and the front patio {the thinking aspect} is something that is now coming to the forefront and being realized or acknowledged. The shirt may represent the outward self which likes to think the life is positive. But deep down there are greyer issues that have not been resolved. T-shirts are worn beneath the surface and the outward ego self may be hiding something. Some part has 'stepped' out, out of sight? and you have been left to manange without this part.
Underneath there is a woman that is beautiful, yet there are grey areas even as this part is capable of illuminating the whole self. This hidden part is a guide toi higher understanding. The friend {a part of you} is wanting, needing something, something that can not be purchased.

The number 3 can be significant ina couple of ways. One, it may represent 3 out of 4 with 4 representing wholeness. 3 would suggest you are not quite there.
It could also represent something in your waking life that has to do with 3 opportunities or chances. Not remembering may be related to this hiden aspect that is now coming to the forefront. This last item {hidden} holds the details that will lead you to a better understanding of this aprt of you.
The pastry may have to do with over indulgence is some thing in your past life. Is this a favorite item of yours? Do you tend to eat when you are stressed?

The item that needs looking at is the 'fixtures' in your life, those deeper issues of the psyche. Once this is done the sweentness of the secrets of being whole will make for a better and happier life.

I see a relationship of this dream with the my mother and i dream. I believe both may have to do with the relationship with your mother, and a inner search, perthaps consciously seeking some spiritual remedy. What is the relationship with your mother? Look at that relationship to see what might be there that needs acknowledgement.

Re: Re: pastry and stuff

Gerard,
This one took me by surprise so i will have to ponder it and get back to you. I had not seen the connection between this dream and the other but you are right. They were also both in the same night, so that is interesting.

Thanks
Janine

Re: Re: Re: pastry and stuff

Janine,
The spirit guide in this dream pointed to the spiritual aspect. The number 3 suggested something was not quite whole.
{Jung saw the number 4 as symbolizing wholeness. Western thought often thinks of 3 as representing wholeness}.

Numbers should always be taken into consideration when look at dreams, as should colors. The higher Self would be represented by 4. '3 out of 4 ain't bad', but it is not enough.

As for the connection with your 'mother and i dream, the part about the the 3rd item left me with the impression it was that thing which had left you to manage the place. Since the first dream concerned the relationship with your mother I saw a connection to her as that thing which had left you incomplete {3 out of 4}. Having that knowledge {or in this intsance perceived knowledge} about the dreamer's waking life provides important material in interpreting a dream. The more one knows about the dreamer the better the possibility of understanding the dream message.
Of course, there may be other areas in your life this dream may be trying to communicate, we can't dismiss that possibility. But with the knowledge that you are indeed trying to reconcile the muddy relationship with your mother makes it most likely the dream is directing its attention to that aspect.

If you have other dreams you wish to post please do so. I would be interested in knowing if they too focus on the subject of your mother and what metaphors they use.

And thanks for your follow up posts. We have learned how the mother relationship and higher Self can be addressed in dreams. A true learning experience.
