And there are various spiritual philosophies including Buddhism and Native American that used four as the symbols representing the complete But there is a fundamental scientific fact that most are not aware of.
DNA is made up of four repeating chemical bases arranged into complimentary pairs.

If the hypothosis is to hold, the universal {archetypes} is inherent in all individuals. The foundation of all life is DNA. What is true on the physical aspect is also applical within the psyche. It only makes sense that 4 would be the symbol in our dreams for that highest aspect.

This is right Gerard, and a link that I had never made.
It is also interesting that DNA consists of two strands, linked together by the attraction of the compementary part ,,,, 'opposites'. It forms a balanced spiral. Biochemists describe spirals within spirals ,,,, mmmmm - it deserves a further look.

Chief Seattle said 'All things are connected like the blood which unites one family'. When we investigate the sciences we often come upon terms that are inter-changable on all levels. The primitive mind is a thread that is bound by nature to the collective psyche. What is true at one level is true {to some degree} at every level. If the earth {Gia} is indeed one organism then we are a thread of that organism.

Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.

The theory of intelligent design would love the Gia theory, but only if were masculine instead of feminine. But the scientific basis of their argument goes beyond masculine/feminine. It has no basis to begin with, other than that of faith.

yes Gerard, the experience(s) to me are the evidence.
This reminds me of a posted dream of mine in which my assignment was 'the reticulated red blood cell' - this indeed is the connection between all of us. Reticulated cells are the primative form.... still reflecting.
