I have recently dreamt of witnessing child abuse. The dream was extremely vivid and the abuse was horrific. What does any of this donote? How is this interpreted?

I am very new at Jungian dream interpretation, however, I do have some ideas and suggestions for you.
The suggestions first: If you can post more details to the dream it will be helpful for other people to understand and respond to your dream better. For example, things like the location of an event are helpful, or who was abusing the children. Also, who are the children? Are they children you know, or are they complete strangers? My guess is that these details, if you remember them or have them, would greatly help.
Without knowing a few more details, one would be guessing. So, in the spirit of making an educated guess, is there part of you that is feeling abused? Are you maybe recovering from having been abused as a child and is the dream perhaps helping in your healing process? I hope this helps.
