Help!
My battery keeps going dead. Got a new one and it is going dead also. When running the tractor the ampmeter reads slightley on the minus side. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I always start with the cheap and easy stuff first. I'd wire brush all the contacts and replace any questionable wires (with a larger gauge) and make sure you don't have any shorts (check the headlights if you have them). Might want to replace the battery cables too. That's what did the trick on mine. Then hope all that works. Not sure if you have a starter/generator like my 1430, but the next thing would be to clean the brushes or replace it ($60?). Good luck.
