When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,  to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.  They are there for the reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.  Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.  What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.  The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

There are many different responses to crisis. Most survivors have intense feelings after a traumatic event but recover from the trauma; others have more difficulty recovering — especially those who have had previous traumatic experiences, who are faced with ongoing stress, or who lack support from friends and family — and will need additional help.

a powerful motorist / motorcycle awareness message

A great motorist awareness video

Taken from:http://moonrider.journalspace.com/
AMYCEC posted this excellent video: Shattered http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRIrTt8TRYE on youtube.com. It’s a powerful motorist awareness message that does not blame the victim—the rider—and brings the “look twice, save lives” message home through moving stories and very graphic descriptions. Great production values, too.

Here's what the blurb at youtube.com says about it: “The number of motorcycle fatalities i... The number of motorcycle fatalities in Tennessee has doubled in the last 7 years. This Motorcycle safety video was developed the Tennessee Department of Safety, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Governor's Highway Safety Office, Metro Nashville Police and motorcycle clubs across the state to encourage motorcycle riders to educate themselves before taking to the roads, and to remind drivers to respectfully, share the roads with their two-wheeled counterparts. The video was created by Memphis marketing firm Chandler Ehrlich.”

Good for you, Tennessee! Great job, Chandler Ehrlich! Kudos for the video. And, as a rider, I thank you for doing such a professional job and getting the message right and getting it across, Tennessee.

Watch it, folks, and send the link far and wide. Send it to other lists, send it to non-riders.
