 When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,  to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.  They are there for the reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.  Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.  What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.  The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.  

There are many different responses to crisis. Most survivors have intense feelings after a traumatic event but recover from the trauma; others have more difficulty recovering — especially those who have had previous traumatic experiences, who are faced with ongoing stress, or who lack support from friends and family — and will need additional help.

What you share in this forum, may prevent that next Accident, that next Casualty

In 2005, among the passenger vehicle drivers involved in two-vehicle motorcycle crashes, there were violations reported in the crash for 30 percent of the passenger vehicle drivers. The analysis in this section does not cover motorcycle operators due to the fact that violations are not charged for fatally injured motorcycle operators in the crash.

For the passenger vehicle drivers involved, nearly 15 percent had violations of rules-of the-road charged (like turning, yielding, signaling); about 9 percent had violations charged for offenses like reckless driving, careless driving, and hit-and-run; 5 percent of them had license and registration violations charged; and 4 percent of the drivers were charged with impairment offenses. Table 21 shows violations charged to passenger vehicle drivers involved in two-vehicle motorcycle crashes.

There has never been a comprehensive study combining distracted drivers and motorcycle accidents. The existing available information to the public if researched indicate the numbers balance as per NTSB and NHTSA.


80% of the Distracted, inattentive Drivers cause accidents; " While only 20% of car crashes result in injury or death, that number increases to 80% for motorcycle crashes ".

A) What new study are you talking about? There was not a new study done!

1) The numbers are the same 80% for Distracted drivers, Fatigued, Or just not looking Cause Accidents

2) motorcycles account for 7% to 12% of all motor vehicle–related fatalities.2, 3 Per mile traveled, motorcyclists are 16 times more likely than passenger car occupants to die in a traffic crash and four times as likely to be injured.4 While only 20% of car crashes result in injury or death, that number increases to 80% for motorcycle crashes.5


How can the NTSB & NHTSA overlook the fact that a percentage of Motorcycle Accidents are caused by Distracted Drivers, impaired divers Etc.. As stated by the study done and sponsored by National Highway Traffic Safety, Administration (NHTSA), Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Virginia Transportation Research Council (VTRC), Virginia Tech (VT) : " Discoveries, Driver Inattention: Nearly 80 percent of all crashes and 65 percent of all near-crashes involved driver inattention (due to distraction, fatigue, or just looking away) just prior to (i.e., within 3 seconds) the onset of the conflict." (CRASH) Motorcycles have to be equated and factored in any study done!! Do you not agree?
