When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,  to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.  They are there for the reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.  Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.  What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.  The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

There are many different responses to crisis. Most survivors have intense feelings after a traumatic event but recover from the trauma; others have more difficulty recovering — especially those who have had previous traumatic experiences, who are faced with ongoing stress, or who lack support from friends and family — and will need additional help.

MC Awareness Ride in Alexandria, La.

I don't know if any of you are in Louisiana, but if you are or know someone that is and rides, please have them show up in Alexandria, La on Sat. Jan. 26th and make this ride.
Initial rally point is Brewzerz ( 1919 N. Macarthur dr.) at 09:30
By 10:00 I'm figgering that everyone that's going to show will be there.
Will split the group up into 5 groups and send one group to each of our designated coffee/warmup spots.
After they get there, get thawed out, get the blood flowing, they then rotate to another spot.
We rotate from spot to spot around town until about 1:30 that afternoon.
Final meetup is at Brewzerz at 2:00 P.M. for some Jambalaya.
Ride is free, no fees, coffee, cocoa, is free.
Jamabalay is free.
There will be donation jugs around for the Motorcycle Awareness Campaign and for our Fallen Riders Foundation. But there is no mandatory donation of any sort.
We're doing this to make motorists more aware of motorcycles in central Louisiana.
That's it.
So if you can come, please do.
If you live too far but know someone, please let them know about this and encourage them to show up.
The main reason for the initial rally point being Brewzerz is so we can get a count and know how much jambalaya to cook.
