When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,  to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.  They are there for the reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.  Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.  What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.  The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

There are many different responses to crisis. Most survivors have intense feelings after a traumatic event but recover from the trauma; others have more difficulty recovering — especially those who have had previous traumatic experiences, who are faced with ongoing stress, or who lack support from friends and family — and will need additional help.

Dallas HOV Lane - One of the luck ones

I was in a very serious accident in the HOV lane on I75 in the Dallas, Tx area last September. I was fortunate and walked, well rode in the ambulance, away with just 5 broken bones and multiple cuts and deep bruises. I have mostly recovered, although you never completely recover.

I have been watching with great interest in the reports on the local News how the City, HOV authority, and all others involved in the design of these lanes were aware of the dangers and how they ignored the safety officials recomendations when they built the HOV lane.

I am by no means a wealthy individual and the accident put a financial burden on me. If anyone else was involved in an accident in the HOV lanes in Dallas I would be interested in speaking with you and perhaps an attorney who would be willing to look into this case pro bono. I am not looking for a payday out of this. I want this flawed system fixed or removed to keep what happened to me, and others, from happening to anyone else. I know of at least 2 motorcycle deaths but do not know who the riders were, and I am not sure that I would be comfortable contacting the families of these people as it might be seen as uncaring.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
