My sister-in-law has several personalities,
one personality she is her 5 year olds daughter and she calls her 5 year old her mother, another she is a Doctor Hall and married to another imaginary man "Todd" and does not have children. Another she is Julie a wild sexual 20 year old. Another she is Charles (her husbands) protector and she married Charles but it was not a real marriage, and she love him as a friend. We have had her daughter for the last 6 months and this 5 year old has been so tormented, we are just now finding out all of her mental pain and confusion. She hears voices and we need help for this child. Her mother has been institutionalized and her father has severe eplipsy and in a care center.

a warning to all with chidren, protect your children first. do not bring them into this insanity, rejection, confusion, call DCFS and get help, give your chidren two sane parents living in reality that can bond with them and attend to their needs and respond to them.

I need help, my new 5 year old will be 6 in a few months, she hears voices, she is wondering who she is, wondering her value, and just tried to strangle my 6 year old grandaughter Sunday because the grandaughter rejected playing with our new 5 year old.

She knew that choking her would kill her, she is clingy and scared to lose us and herself and is desparate. I need a specialist to help her, now before it is too late.

I have DID and have raised children 5 of them in fact, and all have turned out perfectly fine. I also work with people who have DID and can tell you that MOST DID people who have children DO NOT call their children ma and cause their children harm, if they involve their children its in the capasity of young alters playing with the dissociatives children. for exampl a 5 year old aler playing dress up with the dissociatives 8 year old daughter or vice versa.

there is no need for EVERY DID person to call DHS and sign over their children to be adopted by others. granted there may be some people with DID that have been abused and part of that abuse was doing ritualistic harm to theirself or others so that when acting as that alter they act out these harmful situations on themselves, toys, younger people and in that EXTREME and rare case yes its better to protect children by appropriate measures that will keep the children safe. but this type of situation is extremely rare where children are harmed by their dissociative paraents.

NOT EVERY DID PERSON IS A DANGER TO THER SELF AND OTHERS. in most cases dissociating to the extreme of having alters is a protection measure not a danger.
