If anybody is interested in what is going on at LSMP, I would suggest you read some of the posts on their discussion forum. I seems that the owner has lost all his marbles, calling one racer in particular a "dip****" and is letting his track become a kindergarten with no pets. Take a gander at some of what has been posted and you'll see the chaos he has started. I give it 3-1 odds that the track will fold again this year. This is what happens when you let a road racer try and operate a drag strip.

I don't get it. The owner doesn't want pets at his track. It's his track. Why does everyone have to take it so personally? They've turned it into a war between the racers and the owners, and I'm pretty sure we don't need that right now. I'm gonna be pretty ****** if freakin' animals are the difference between me racing or not on a given weekend. It's hard enough to keep bracket racing going around here with all the other BS. Get over it.

That's what makes America so great. Freedom of speach and freedom of choice. You're right Bill, it's his track and he can talk to racers any way he want's and he makes all the rules. But when one of them affects you, just remind yourself to GET OVER IT.
I remember when you cryed like a baby and boycotted Angleton because you didn't get your way. Did you get over it? No you went to another track. Practice what you preach.

I could care less about the dog thing but after reading everything that scumbag John Hennessey replied to people with, this broke dick low life whiner wont be spending a single dollar at Lonestar. I am just amazed at how a business man with mega money tied up in a racetrack would be stupid enough to reply to people with the stuff he's said. Incase some of you dont know, here are some examples:

He told one guy that he wasnt banned from LSMP but if he showed up his tech card would be $100 b/c he doesnt like him.

Then he said his wife always told him he shouldnt have invested $700k on a track thats noturious for LOW LIFE BROKE DICK WHINERS.

Then I seen him post on another board somebody sent me a link too about telling people to go jack off in the shower.

It just doesnt make any sense and personally even though it would mean a track closing, I hope he loses every dime he invested b/c I heard some really bad things yesterday about the guy. Matter of fact, I havent heard anything good.

Oh yeah, I boycotted Angleton. Whatever. You even saw me out there on a couple of Saturdays late in the year. I just had other things I had to do on Friday nights. Again, you're taking things way too personally. Everything's not about you.

I would be willing to bet if all that nonsence was not posted about the pets they would still be able to go in one form or another. but the people backed the owner in a corner. Why not try posting a bunch of negatives about your boss on the company bulletin board? We went to what few bracket races LSMP had last year and had a good time. If the weather ever gets any better we will be there this year too.

However, any business owner should be mature and professional when responding to clients who support their business, especially in a public forum. In most of the posts I saw, the racer did not draw first blood. This will be my first season to race, and I was considering racing out there, but seeing how I might be treated, or even my fellow racers... and seeing so much b.s. going on.... I do try to keep in mind there are two sides to every story, and we are all entitled to our own opinions. We racers will always be whining about something (LOL), but this is definitely not a good side for management to show. Once again, JMO.

Show him that you will support a track because they have class enough not to respond with comments like I've heard this guy made. Hey, don't all of ya'll kiss and make up yet. With the cold and rainy weather, I don't have any other entertainment than looking at the message boards. They are definitely entertaining, lots better that soap operas. It's too cold to work on the race car so I check on everybody's complaints! See ya'll at the tracks (several of them), I've enjoyed myself at all of them that I've been to (I would enjoy it more if I could win first round, but thats another story!!!).

O.K. people, we planned on racing at Sealy and stuck to our plan, no B.S. on a message board is going to deture us from racing. We showed up a Sealy with all this B.S. in the back of our heads, when we enter the gate there we nothing but greetings and smiles, A lot of friends I haven't seen in a while and A lot of great racing. The Employees we great and worked really hard to make the track and atmosphere good. It was well worth the cost and effort to tow out there. We plan on going quite a bit out there this season. Thanks Lonestar.

We also was well impressed at Lonestar the people were very friendly and the track was in good shape.The pits were not as bad as expected with all the rain lately they were in good shape.Plan on going back.

And then Tbone stuck me with a .004 light in the final. There were some good races. I had a lot of fun, and managed to get a new best E.T. for the car.

I have to give my 2 cents worth on the LSMP bs. No one is going to please every customer and if you don't think nother race promoter talks a s**t check out the JG rips people on his site and they fill the stands. My experience at LSMP has only been good, I brought a new car to test on a Sunday and broke an oil line and had no way to plug it, I was led to the shop on the grounds and was told to look for whatever I needed and was never even asked my name, now tell me how many people would have let a total stranger into their shop and leave them to dig around for what ever they need! I have pets but they don't care a thing about drag racing they are much nore content at home and I've raised my kids but if my grandchildren come with me they WILL be looked after. Most of the time people are spread thin due to economic reasons and it gets hectic at a decent size race so the owners, racers and fans MUST play a part in putting safety first and enjoyment second. Just for the record, no message board b.s., or pet/no pet rules will ever keep me from racing or make the choice of where. Lots of facts and factors went into our decision, and it was a hard one to make. We can't have everything... sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do.
