First of all, my name isn't Don. It's Deanna, and my boyfriend has raced at Temple for the last 4 years. I won't mention his name, because I don't want him banned from there, although it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Racers there have been treated a little better than a pile of crap, but not much. So don't come on here like you're trying to speak for the racers, because you're not. We race there because we have to, not cause we want to. Let someone build a track within an hour of that place and it will be a ghost town.

Well First of all. If you have a problem then how about you go to Linda about it. Instead of running your mouth on here. That would be the adult thing to do. AND IM SURE YOU WILL GET TAKEN CARE OF! So Grow up. And I think Linda's phone number is on the website if there is a problem that you need to talk to her about. And I know that I have always been treated with respect when I race there.!

What's your problem? I posted a response telling people to come out to this race this weekend, and why I hoped they would. It's a free country last I checked. Don't be ****** just because I would like to see people get paid for points that have been trying to get paid for over a year and we have been given bs excuses or blown off time and time again. You're the one that snapped back about it, like you had something personal invested in it.

If you feel you've been treated with respect then you either don't race there much or your last name is Faulkner. But I really believe that you are probably Linda or Kirk, since you forgot to remove the website address when you changed your user name on the board here. So which is it?

Wow! Such hostility! You know, my boyfriend has raced at Temple for years and years and do you know that he doesn't have a problem with waiting for his points money just as long as he has a place to race?! Ultimately that's what it is all about.....THE LOVE OF RACING. He knows that he WILL get paid eventually and still has a place to race in the meantime. Think about it, if Linda paid the points money when there aren't enough funds to do so, do you think she could still keep the track open for us to have a place to race? Give it a rest, show up to race and help promote our little track so your money can be paid! Maybe if you were a little more supportive with the situation at hand, you would earn the respect you think you deserve. And,by the way, I have met the Faulkner's on many occasions and don't think they get any more respect than anyone else. Why call them out?

Should be a good race this weekend. I hear complaints from people all the time about Temple so this is nothing new. I understand DH's frustration, but I don't think this is the place to air it out. If it makes you feel any better the guy that was running the track before bought over 150 acres just outside Temple late last year. I was told they are ready to roll, but they are waiting to see how things work out with Temple before they start on something new. Anyway, good luck to everyone who's going.

Think what you want Marie, but I knew she'd screw us over. I see there is no more mention of the "awards banquet". I had heard it was supposed to be at the Expo center in belton on March 4th. Now it's no longer on their schedule and there's no mention of it on the track website. My question is, why should we support someone who does nothing but lie? It's not even that the money is a big deal, it's just the way she treats people who ask about it. I don't think it's being rude to ask about points that should have been paid over a year ago do you? It was put off all year, and finally when it was supposed to be paid, it looks like it's been put off again. Yet anytime someone asks about it they are met with a sharp, unfriendly reply as if we've done something wrong.

So she's done all this and she comes on here advertising her race like we're supposed to take her at her word when she says "guaranteed". What's she going to tell racers if she doesn't have enough entries to cover the payout? Oh I guess that's right, they will understand, because she has given them this wonderful place to race at. God bless her and all she does for the racing community, she truly is a saint.

If you remember there was a 10k race last year and everyone I spoke to got paid and you say you HAVE to race there. Nobody has to race anywhere you are suppose to be an adult so WHO is making you go to Temple? If it frustrates you to the point of trashing someone on a website that is designed to help racers as much as Mr. Robinson and Jay do STAY AT HOME!

Jack, forgive me for taking up some of your bandwidth, but I need to clarify something. I post on numerous boards in the racing community using the initials DH. Whoever the person is posting on here as DH65 is certainly not me nor do I agree with the practice of airing personal matters/problems on a public forum. We all have a choice if, when, or where we race, and I don't believe any of us "have" to race anywhere. See ya @ Temple, April 7th.

I was told about this thread last night, and just wanted to respond to what Mitch said. I have no plans on building another track in the area. So whoever you heard that from is mistaken. If you have any questions you can call me at 254-718-9211.

Regardless of your problems with the track "DH65", you took a cheap shot with your initial response. So you probably deserve to get some flack for it. If you don't want to race there, then don't race there and leave it at that. I have had my differences with the owner, but I highly doubt Linda started off the season with the intention of not paying the points, and I'm sure if she could pay them right now she would. I mean crap she left you two numbers that you could probably have reached her at, why don't you try calling them.
