Angleton Start Times and Track Update

Hey Guys and........Gals...lol. I spent all day at Angleton working on the Track with Ricky and TL. We repaired parts of the Let Down, laying down approximately 7 yards of Concrete in critical spots on the let down, mainly in the left lane, other improvements include a new concession stand.

The start times for Saturday's will be, gates open at 4pm. This will allow enough time for Tech and Tune before Racing is to begin.

Nancy has asked for me to assist her for sponsors and others that would like to contribute to the Bracket Program, soooooo if any of you would like to sponsor a sign or know someone that would please let me or Nancy Know.

I look forward to seeing all of you again on the 27th of February......You guys have been away tooo long. :o)

Re: Angleton Start Times and Track Update

Ok I'm confused. I thought the track was opening on the 20th and the first points race was on the 28th. The calender says the first points race is on the 29th. Could we start at 2 so as to avoid the cold of night and the track could save on electricity.

Re: Angleton Start Times and Track Update

Chris, I do appologize, you are absolutely correct on the Date, it is the 28th of February. As of tonight, Ricky said that he was planning on opening up at 4pm (gates). I will be at the track stripping the 60 ft on both sides Saturday Morining I will confirm with Ricky.

Again, Sorry Chris, my bad on the date

Re: Angleton Start Times and Track Update

I would be as bold to even suggest that we start at 11:00am (open), TT @ noon, elims @ 2:30. This way we're done long before the evening moisture and darkness rolls in. Dew points come up way too quick after dark this time of the year. If you can keep cars moving down the track your okay. But if if have a boo-boo and have to shut down for a while for a clean-up you may loose the track. Just my two-cents.

Plus we'd be getting home close to refreshment time.

Re: Angleton Start Times and Track Update

Ray, refreshment time is when you get the check and trophey

Re: Angleton Start Times and Track Update

I plan on making it to refreshment time ! ;)

Re: Angleton Start Times and Track Update

Hey the earlier the better for me I was just concerned about how early the out of towners could make it. Open the gates at 2, start TT at 3, elims at 5.
