5.80 Index

winner $900 / runner-up $700

6.20 Index

winner $700/ runner-up $500

6.60 Index

winner $600/ runner-up $500

7.00 Index

winner $500/ runner-up $400

No Throttle stops or delay boxes can be used in any index (must be zero’d if in the car)

All Indexes 8 car min

Entry Fees: Index car and driver $60

Spectators $20

Gates open at Noon/ racing starts at 1 pm

There will be 2 rounds of qualifying

why is the purse for the index race so top heavy? How about spreading the wealth a little, maybe semis..

BASED OF THE AMOUNT OF 5.80 CARS THAT SUPPORT THE S/S RACING INDEX SHOOTOUT WHICH IS AVERAGE OF 20 CARS WITH THAT PURSE THERE SHOULD BE 25 PLUS CARS SHOW UP AT ANGLETON WHICH WILL HELP COVER THE PURSE, NOW IF THEY DON'T SHOW UP THEN IT'S SURE NOT ABOUT THE MONEY BECAUSE RICKY HAS DEFINATELY DONE HIS PART FOR YOU 5.80 RACERS THANKS JACK!

hey jack can we have boxes in the car if they are zeroed out for the footbrake race. it says we can have them in the car for the index race if they are zeroed out.

They are allowing them to stay in the car for the index race, so it will be "OK" for the no/box race.

They should not be allowed to be in the cars for either. Thet dont have them at the SnS or normal footbrake events, why here? Some may say car count, well SnS doesnt have a car count problem especially in 7.0 without allowing boxes in the cars.

whats the problem if it is in my dragster but it is disabled? its just such a pain to pull it out of the car and i want to go experiment with the dragster. its close to home that weekend so i dont have to spend too much money.

I'm not goin to make a big issue out off this delay box thing. If Ricky would of stated NO DELAY BOXES, then it would be much easier not allow them in the No/box race also. The Idea is to draw as many racers that are already there to race the No/box race...

If I get to do another no/box race at the end of the year, then maybe then I will not allow delay boxes in the car. S&S has had several years to organize their rules, I'm just trying to put together a decent race for us to have somewhere close to race on the fourth...

I will probly ask tech to make note of any racer with a box still in the car.

I have a nice little purse for this race , but it will require a 40 car minimum to pay in full, so lets make it work and have some fun......
