The passing of my friend, Nick Cavazos

On Friday, September 18, I lost a very dear friend, Nick Cavazos. Nick and I have known each other for 31 years. We first met when I bought my first Mopar in 1978 and we became the best of friends from that moment on. We shared a love of cars, but especially Mopars. He helped me many times from putting motors together, to suggesting and finding parts for my cars. He was a Mopar 'walking' encyclopedia...that's exactly what he was! There wasn't anything that Nick didn't know about Mopars and how to make someone else share his love of these cars.

Nick battled cancer for over 5 years and although he had some pretty bad days, he always had thoughts of putting cars together or helping someone else with their car.

I'll miss my buddy very much and although he's gone, I know he's here in spirit. Nick was a true "Mopar Man" and that's exactly how I will remember him.

Jack,
I got the call yesterday, Linda & I would like to extend our parys to the family.
And everything you said about Nick is the truth. A great Guy, and I will also miss him.
God Bless

Re: The passing of my friend, Nick Cavazos

The Mopar community will never be the same without Nick. Nick taught me everything I know about Mopars. He was always there to lend a helping hand even when it was obvious he was in pain. I've know Nick all my life and he was more of brother to me than a friend. Words just cannot express how I feel right now. Nick will truly be missed.
