HRP 2010 O'REILLY BRACKET SCHEDULE AND PAYOUTS

The O'Reilly Auto Parts E.T. Bracket Racing Series is the most common type of sportsman drag racing. Bracket Racing offers a level playing field by allowing each competitor to pick their own time. Using a handicap start it allows the slower competitor to receive a head start. The faster competitor will then get the opportunity to "chase" the slower car down. In a perfect world both racers would get to the finish line at exactly the same time, bracket races are often determined by less than .001 of a second. It is some of the most competitive and exciting racing around. Racers compete for the year-end Championship, point fund, as well as an opportunity to represent Houston Raceway Park at the Division 4 Summit E.T. Finals at the Texas Motorplex.

KING of the TRACK Program

The way we will determine the King of the track will be as follows:

The two class winners will qualify for one spot on the ladder for the king of the track competition.

At the end of the season we will tally all of the winners from each night of racing, and build two ladders (electronics and no-electronics) with the most recent winner places as the number one qualifier and work backwards by date to fill the ladder. This will give everyone the chance to improve their qualifying position throughout the year. Your last win will be considered your qualifying spot win as we build the ladders.

On race day we will run off both ladders down to a qualifying champion in both the Super Pro and Footbrake classes. These qualifying winners will race in a best of two out of three races to determine the King of the track who will receive the "Wally" and Hat.
